At the confluence of two rivers

Between Gesso and Stura

The capital of the province, the beautiful medieval city of Cuneo takes its name from the shape of the plateau on which it stands, at the confluence of the torrent Gesso with the River Stura; a triangle with one vertex firmly planted in the heart of the plain and the other two open mountains.
