Maritime Mercantour Alps – A world without borders

Maritime Mercantour Alps – A world without borders is a book edited by the two parks, which contains excerpts from the works of famous writers. Their very personal ‘views’ take up on a journey suspended between reality and fantasy through the Southern Alps. The text and over 200 photographs that accompany them do not try to present all of the faces of the great Alpine from the Tenda and Magdalene Hills, from the Piedmont plain and the Mediterranean. Nor, even less, will it illustrate the daily commitment to the preservation of this great heritage by the Parco delle Alpi Marittime and the Parc national du Mercantour. These are mere fragments, small precious pieces of an extraordinary garden land that deserves to be known, experienced and respected. They are a tribute to a space that knows no boundaries, a mineral world that is a refuge to humans, plants and animals for thousands of years.
